Preserving Our Past, Shaping Our Future
The Miami-Dade Public Library System's Digital Collections Community Memory Project is an initiative aimed at collecting, preserving and digitizing the rich heritage of our community.
We invite you to be a part of our Community Memory Project by sharing personal photographs, letters, memorabilia, objects and more. Whether it’s a cherished heirloom or a snapshot of a bygone era, your memories will become a part of a digital archive that will help tell the story of our community and be accessible for generations to come.
Contributions should be presented in person, by appointment, at the Digital Collections Lab located at the Main Library, 101 W Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33130.
Once digitized, the original items will be carefuly returned. A high-resolution copy of the digital file, will also be provided through cloud service. All participants must sign a Contribution Form acknowledging the use and release of digitized items.
For more information and to schedule an appointment, contact us via email at digitalcollections@mdpls.org or call 305-921-2156.
